Which and how many filter cubes can I mount on the fluorescence microscope?
The light source emits a very high-energy white light.
The light is passed through a filter system (called filtercube) which contains three fundamental elements.
1) EXCITATION filter
2) DICHROIC mirror
3) BARRIER filter
Every FILTERCUBE is specifically design to work with specific wavelengths range and therefore with specific FLUOROCHROMES.
OPTIKA fluorescence microscopes can use standard or “custom” filtercubes.
B-290LD series accepts 1 filtercube (B excitation)
B-380 series accepts up to 2 filtercubes (B / G excitation)
B-510LD series accepts up to 2 filtercubes (B / G excitation)
B-510FL series accepts up to 4 filtercubes (B / G excitation as standard and UV / V or any custom filter as option)
B-1000LD series accepts up to accepts up to 2 filtercubes (B / G excitation)
B-1000FLHBO series accepts up to 6 filtercubes (B / G excitation as standard and UV / V or any custom filter as option)
IM-3F series accepts up to 2 filtercubes (B / G excitation)
IM-3FL4 series accepts up to 4 filtercubes (B / G excitation as standard and UV / V or any custom filter as option)
IM-3LD series accepts up to 2 filtercubes (B / G excitation)
IM-5LD series accepts up to 4 filtercubes (UV / B / G excitation as standard and V or any custom filter as option)
